Job Description: Fharro Entertainment is currently seeking a Manager of Strategic Planning for the Atlanta GA office.

SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating, preparing, and reviewing forecasts, trend analyses and financial models as they relate to reporting and deals/transactions. Position reports to the Director of Strategic Planning (Finance) and has contact with all levels of management as well as multiple finance and accounting personnel within the Universal Music Group.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Researches, collects and develops models based on both external and internal data sources (e.g. Soundscan)

•Coordinates, prepares and presents Profit and Loss statements for Business development department.

•Assists with planning and analysis of strategic deals/transactions.

•Performs due diligence review and / or deal valuation analysis of potential record label distribution deals using income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.

•Analyzes business development opportunities.

•Provides ad hoc reporting, special projects, non-recurring activities as required by Director of Strategic Planning (Finance), (e.g. distribution pricing strategies).


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct reports currently. Occasional supervision of finance/accounting staff that prepares analysis/supporting schedules in areas referenced above.


Job Requirements: QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate must have superior analytical and problem solving skills, be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, handle multiple assignments, think independently and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. BS/BA in Finance / Economics / Accounting with 4-6 years experience in financial analysis is preferred. CPA, MBA or management consulting experience is a plus. Understanding of basic Music / Entertainment business models and issues also a plus. Candidate must possess strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
